Kazakhstan, formally known as the Republic of Kazakhstan, is a transcontinental nation primarily situated in Central Asia, with some areas in Eastern Europe.

Kazakhstan experiences hot summers and bitterly severe winters due to its “extreme” continental climate. Astana, behind Ulaanbaatar, is the world’s second-coldest capital. Arid and semi-arid climates have varying precipitation levels, with the winter being arid.
